Website terms
Terms of Use and Medical Disclaimer
Effective date: September 20, 2026
These terms govern use of drspectscan.org, which is operated by John M. Uszler, MD, A Medical Corporation. By using the website, you acknowledge the following conditions.
General information—not individual medical advice
Website content provides general educational information about SPECT brain perfusion imaging, medical imaging interpretation, and related professional interests. It is not a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, prescription, or substitute for evaluation by a treating physician who knows the individual’s complete clinical circumstances.
No physician-patient relationship from website use
Viewing the website, calling with a preliminary question, or sending an email does not by itself create a physician-patient relationship. A professional relationship begins only when Dr. Uszler expressly accepts a defined professional service and the necessary arrangements, information, and consent have been completed.
Not an emergency service
This website and the listed office contacts are not monitored as an emergency service. For a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate evaluation through an appropriate emergency medical facility.
Nature and limitations of SPECT information
SPECT brain perfusion imaging provides physiological information about regional cerebral perfusion. Imaging findings must be correlated with symptoms, history, examination, other testing, and the treating physician’s clinical judgment. A SPECT study does not by itself establish a diagnosis, determine treatment, or guarantee a particular clinical outcome.
Separate professional organizations
Dr. Uszler does not operate the scan-acquisition facilities described on this website. Amen Clinics or another authorized facility performs the scan acquisition and is responsible for its own services. Dr. Uszler’s independent practice is responsible for the professional imaging interpretation and report that it accepts and performs.
Email and website communications
Do not use ordinary email to transmit detailed medical records, imaging files, payment-card information, or other highly sensitive information unless the office has specifically instructed you to use an appropriate method. Email delivery and response times cannot be guaranteed.
Accuracy, external resources, and professional judgment
Reasonable care is taken to keep the website useful and current, but medical knowledge, professional standards, third-party information, and available services change. External links are provided for convenience and do not transfer responsibility for third-party content or privacy practices to this website. Decisions about a particular patient remain matters of individualized professional judgment.
Intellectual property and acceptable use
Website text, design, branding, and original materials may not be republished, altered, or commercially exploited without permission, except for ordinary personal reference or uses permitted by law. The website may not be used to interfere with its operation, misrepresent its content, impersonate the practice, or attempt unauthorized access.
Applicable law and changes
These terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and California law, without attempting to override any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived. The terms may be revised as the website or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
