Brain SPECT depicts how your brain works

SPECT brain function imaging utilizes the intravenous injection of a trace amount of brain SPECT scan radiopharmaceutical to image brain function, and thereby show whether that function is in the expected range, or above or below that range. In actuality we are imaging brain biochemistry.

This trace amount of radiopharmaceutical is not a “dye” substance and there is no allergic reaction. Because it does not affect brain function, the radiopharmaceutical is not sedating, and individuals on the autism Spectrum who have SPECT brain imaging do not experience any regression.
